Seawood Venice. Lagoon wood comes back to life. Handmade.
Before us
there is the sea
Smoothed by salt, currents, and tides, the wood reaches shore transformed. The lagoon removes, smoothes, and sculpts. What remains is unrepeatable and unique.
The sea sculpts and the lagoon refines. We collect wood that bears the marks of time and water. Each piece is unique.
"The sea does not destroy wood.
It sculpts it."
A name, a shape, a unique piece.
Each SEAWOOD VENICE object is made from wood harvested in nature reserves and marine areas near Venice: on the shores of the lagoon, along the beaches of the Lido di Venezia, Pellestrina, Chioggia up to the wonderful nature reserve of Porto Caleri.
The place where the wood is harvested becomes a narrative detail of its transformation process which becomes part of the piece's identity.
Each piece is unique and cannot be replicated.
How each piece is born
01
COLLECTION
Hand-picked along the Venetian shores of Pellestrina, the Lido, the northern lagoon, Chioggia, and Porto Caleri. Only pieces with a distinctive and recognizable shape are selected.
02
Selection
Not all found wood becomes an art object. The material is carefully observed and chosen according to precise criteria. The question isn't "is it beautiful?"—it's "does it already have what it takes to inhabit a space and tell a story?"
03
PROCESSING
Cleaning, removal of loose parts, hand sanding, treatment with natural oils and waxes. No varnishing or synthetic products.
Processing is done by subtraction: the superfluous is eliminated, everything else is preserved.
04
COMPLETION
Creation of supports in Corten metal, stone, marble, and recycled materials. Insertion of the lighting system for the lamps and/or functional elements such as bases, cables, lamp holders, spheres, and new and vintage glass objects chosen to complement the linear element. The shape of the wood and its grain guide the lighting choices, determining the direction of the light and the lighting system suited to the enhancement and living needs.

The soul of Seawood Venice
More than 20 years of collaboration and research in the design of furnishing spaces with a different way of looking at objects, spaces, and their relationships. The object is not perceived as a mass-produced product, but as a unique piece of furniture, functional for the space, yet with its own distinctive identity. A lamp is more than just light; a furnishing accessory is more than just decoration.
Shape, volume, shadows, and position change the way an object is perceived within a space. The linear element becomes an art object and a contemplative and significant element of the space.
Discover the uniqueness of wood: works of art capable of transforming spaces and creating evocative atmospheres.
Each piece of wood suggests what it can become. They transform into evocative lamps, intricate sculptures with a strong emotional impact that capture attention not only by enriching spaces but by creating unique and unrepeatable atmospheres.

ButtonThe difference between these objects is not just aesthetic: a piece is chosen when it already presents an intrinsic balance, a palpable tension, a delicate interplay of empty and full spaces, all accompanied by a presence that can dominate a room without the need for lengthy explanations.
When a piece is sold, there's another similar one, but never identical; each creation is unique, bearing a story worth telling.
Venice
Venice regenerates itself, in a perpetual dialogue between wood, sea, and city.
Venice, born from the encounter between the sea and the wood that supports it, is the same place where the wood itself comes from. For SEAWOOD VENICE, Venice is not just a stereotypical image in the collective imagination, but a place that can be re-told through design.
The lagoon, which embraces the city, acts on the wood through brackish water, cycles of immersion and emersion, friction, wind, sand, and time.
Every surface bears the mark of this constant metamorphosis. Some parts wear away, while others resist. Some open, others harden.
The result isn't "inspired by Venice," but is physically generated by the interaction between wood and the lagoon environment. SEAWOOD VENICE collects what the lagoon provides and reinterprets it.
