Process
Each piece follows a different path, but always follows the same principle: respecting the shape that the sea has already created.
It all starts on the shore
Every exploration begins along the shores of the Venetian lagoon.
After storms and with the changing seasons, during the autumn period the sea returns to us wood that has spent years immersed in the brackish water.
There's no specific location or set quantity. Each collection is unique. The first step is to observe...

Cleaning, removal of unstable parts, treatment with natural oils. No varnishing. The work is based on subtraction: the superfluous is eliminated, everything else is preserved.

01
Collection
The wood is recovered manually.
Each shape is carefully selected; often, its context reveals its potential. We assess the piece's state of preservation and potential.
02
Selection
Of the dozens of recovered items, only a few possess sufficient characteristics to become an object.
We don't choose the most spectacular woods, but rather those that demonstrate balance, depth, and the ability to interact with the space and that are suitable for careful workmanship.
03
Cleaning
Salt, sand, and impurities are removed without erasing the marks left by the sea. Each treatment preserves the natural textures, grain, and cavities, sometimes even shells or stones that have become integral parts of the wood. The wood is brushed and fragile parts are removed, and excess material is dug out where necessary, then washed with fresh water.
04
Stabilization
The wood is left to dry naturally in the sun and air and treated only when completely dry to ensure its stability and durability. The goal is not to alter it, but to preserve its balance. Anti-woodworm treatments are applied where necessary; sea salt often returns the wood cleansed of any pests.
05
Design
Only after a complete understanding of the natural form does the project begin. In the case of lamps, the path of light is studied. For other objects, supports and balance points are defined and harmonized with additional elements such as glass spheres, ceiling lights, etc.
06
Completion
Metal, steel, glass elements, stone, lighting, and technical details are discreetly integrated. Each added element must leave the wood as the main feature. Each piece is completed only once.
Once the work is completed, the object receives its distinctive name and is carefully photographed and documented in every detail. This phase is essential to preserving the memory of its creation. It is important to emphasize that the object is not reproduced in any form.
Its uniqueness is guaranteed, as each creation is born from a unique shape and reflects an artistic process that cannot be duplicated, making each piece truly special and inimitable.
07
Packaging and shipping
Each work is numbered and accompanied by a hand-written certificate of authenticity (certifying its uniqueness) and a personalized thank you card with a photo of the piece in its original state. The packaging is meticulously designed, taking into account the fragility of the materials. Once packaged, the parcel is shipped directly to the customer.
